Weddings with a view

There are a few key ingredients that contribute to the perfect wedding. It goes without saying that an adorably loved-up couple is an essential starting point – all that gazing into each other’s eyes would be surplus otherwise. A group of delighted friends and family should follow next – the type who shed little tears as the bride walks down the aisle, whoop and cheer once the ceremony’s over, and set the bar for the party that follows. And then once the people are taken care of, it’s vital to secure a breath-taking backdrop for all this merriment to take place in. And that’s where we come in.

"The ceremony setting"

Located on a staggeringly beautiful stretch of rocky coastline on Ibiza’s west coast, 7Pines Resort Ibiza is perched atop cliffs and in-between the sparkling Mediterranean Sea on one side and vibrant green, fluttering pine forest on the other. Weddings can be held at several spots within the resort, but what’s most important to note is that there are sea views from each of them, not to mention prime vistas of those quintessential sunsets that Ibiza has become so famous for – on this island, nature does the talking, and its message is loud and clear.

This is great news for soon-to-be newlyweds because it means they can concentrate on the job in hand – making sure they say ‘I do’ correctly. But first, they have to choose the ceremony setting, which can range from the Cliff Terrace, an alfresco space that directly overlooks the island of Es Vedra; Cone Club, our clifftop restaurant; The Laguna, our picturesque pool; and for those unlikely days when there might be adverse weather, our event centre on the first floor of the lobby. Once decided, each area can be decorated according to taste – think romantic fairylights strung from here to there, and lanterns that sway in the sea breeze.

Once the location is settled, the happy couple can begin planning the day’s proceedings. At 7Pines Resort Ibiza we can accommodate around 100 people, and we have a dedicated team on hand to assist and offer advice throughout the preparation process. We only ever recommend trusted sources, whether they be celebrants, florists, or decor specialists, for example, but we do recommend hiring a separate wedding planner to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day. What we can take care of, however, are the little details that guests will remember long after the day has ended.

"enhance your event"

Take food, for instance. Our culinary teams are more than happy to work with couples to help design their dream menu. From three-course, deluxe meals to delectable canapés served with champagne, our highly trained chefs can create bespoke menus that perfectly complement the aesthetics of the day. Naturally, we only use the best, freshest ingredients to ensure that every plate pops. In addition, our service team is one of the best on the island. Anticipating the needs of guests while simultaneously blending into the melée, they’re able to seamlessly enhance your event while guaranteeing that no request goes unchecked.

As an added little luxury, we also offer the use of our world class wellness centre, Pure Seven, for the bridal and groom parties. Jittery brides and bridesmaids can spend the night before the big day getting a rejuvenating facial or a relaxing massage, or they can head down on the morning of the ceremony for one last dose of chill time before beginning the all-important hair and make-up process. Likewise, grooms can make use of the spa’s first-rate facilities, and indulge in their own pamper session before the day begins to unfold. Time at the spa delivers a little dose of serenity, and can really help calm nerves before the vows are taken.

Of course, it goes without saying that we’re more than equipped to offer accommodation for each and every wedding guest. Bride and groom can settle into a luxury suite a few days before the event, which means they’re on site for any preparation required before the wedding itself, and they can take precious time in the days following the event to bask in the glow of being newlyweds. Friends and family can be close at hand at all times, which also means couples have the added bonus of keeping everyone together once the day is over. Because why only have one special day, when in reality you can have as many as you want?

Like most good ideas, the Ibiza Preservation Foundation was conceived by a group of friends around a dinner table in 2008. The founding ethos of the organisation is to create and support local initiatives that promote the preservation of Ibiza and Formentera’s ecology and find sustainable solutions to both islands’ environmental challenges. IPF’s Executive Director Sandra Benbeniste is bright, personable and committed, and she sees working within the tourism industry as the answer to many of the island’s problems.
