New Menu Magic at The View

The culinary offer

We are all looking for a little bit of magic – one serendipitous meeting that brings a smile to the face on a grey day; a good deed from a stranger that puts a positive spring in the step. In the monotony of daily existence, there are moments like these that stick with us – these are the things that buoy the spirit and feed the soul. At 7Pines Resort Ibiza, we aim to recreate that feeling by making the ordinary extraordinary. So it’s there when we greet you with a welcome drink at check-in; it’s in the wave of a staff member as they whizz past you on an electric bike; it’s in the fluffy dry towel left on your sun lounger when you’ve had a dip the pool. And it’s in every single plate of food served at The View. Here, we aim to convey excellence at all times.

"The View PRESENTS an Asian-inspired menu flecked with contemporary touches"

The View is the jewel in the culinary crown at 7Pines Resort Ibiza. Make no mistake, every single one one of our onsite restaurants is world-class, fuelled by grand ideas and passionate people, but The View takes it up notch thanks to a recently revamped, outstanding menu, fabulous views, and a level of service that we’ve worked extremely hard to culture. Our staff are handpicked from around the globe and each one is highly trained – not only so that they understand the unique nuance of every food and wine combination, but also so that they understand our guests – often anticipating your needs long before you’re even aware of them.

Located at the front of the resort on a clifftop overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, The View, unsurprisingly, has some of the best views on the whole island of Ibiza. In the morning, drink in every shade of blue as sky merges with sparkling water; by night, be enveloped by a velvety blanket of twinkling stars. And of course, always make time to take in the sights of the Es Vedrà, the limestone rock formation that juts out of the horizon that looks particularly magnificent in the sunset light. All this visual goodness can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own table, just as much inside – thanks to the floor-to-ceiling, panoramic, glass windows – as outside, on the stunning decked terrace.

So that’s service and views covered off, but then of course, there’s the pièce de resistance – the cuisine itself. At The View we are proud to present an Asian-inspired menu flecked with contemporary touches, with each dish made using only the finest ingredients. We look for the best quality produce from all over the world (though naturally, we source regionally and seasonally where possible) and use ancient Japanese cooking techniques on the Robata grill to infuse every plate with delicious flavours and textures. Each plate zings with freshness and precise culinary execution.

"Sirvia ceviche, served with red prawns and spiced coconut"

Take some of the options available as starters, for instance. Fish eaters will adore the local Sirvia ceviche, served with red prawns and spiced coconut, while the semi-cured hamachi, which comes with Japanese pear, dashi, and sake, is a must-try – this dish is a taste sensation. There’s also scallop sashimi, served with seaweed, avocado and keffir lime, and a deliciously crispy soft shell crab tempura with chilli, Rau Ram and kumquat. Meat eaters should plump for the fois gras mi-cuit, accompanied by cured duck and enhance by Zsechuan pepper, while vegetarians can choose from short-grilled baby Romaine hearts with shiimeji mushrooms.

Over on the Robata grill, it’s a case of deciding which of the fresh, delicious fish and meat options whet your appetite on the day. From the fish menu, try the glazed octopus, blue lobster or sea bass – each grill to perfection. From the meat selection, choose from the chicken thigh, lamb shoulder or the world revered Wagyu beef fillet. There’s a selection of mouth-watering sides to accompany, from broccoli with mirin and ginger to Indonesian spiced rice.

"Banh Chuoi Nuong, a homemade Vietnamese banana cake that comes with chocolate, passionfruit and ice cream"

To finish, dive into the dessert menu, which features matcha tea cremeux, cut through with the tartness of Granny Smith apple and Thai basil, or mango sticky rice with coconut and green shiso. For something new, try the Banh Chuoi Nuong, a homemade Vietnamese banana cake that comes with chocolate, passionfruit and ice cream. Then, after visiting every inspiring corner of Asia via your culinary tour, simply sit back and admire the heavenly vistas, or take your time with a tantalising cocktail – there’s no rush here. The View is open to guests, residents and holidaymakers alike, and we’d love to introduce as many people as possible to our delectable Asian delights. After all, we believe that everyone deserves a little magic.
